She’s found a magical lover. But is he real?

Kayla Rowe and her little sister are running for their lives. Chased from town to town by a gang of bikers that no one else sees, Kayla is down to her last dollar and out of ideas. But when she stumbles into the winter camp of a man who is larger than life, her world changes.

Although Fae warrior Ryan Sheridan is entranced by Kayla’s beauty and courage, he has a band of fellow exiles he must protect. Disguised as performers in a Renaissance fair, he and his comrades hide in plain sight. But when evil follows Kayla, Ryan can no longer turn her away—or deny the passion that will upend both their worlds.

Hunted Book 1 of Forever Faire A Serial Fae Fantasy Romance edition by Hazel Hunter Paranormal Romance eBooks

This is not a book; it's a chapter. If you want to pay $2.99 for a chapter and then be sucked into buying the next chapters for the same price or more, until you've way overpaid for the book, this is a series to try. I tried 2 of them (so I'm out $6, & I'm trying to save you from making the same mistake). The story has interesting elements, but characterization is minimal, there's little world building, there's too much insta-sex, and there's no humor. Every "book" ends on a cliff hanger. Honestly, folks, this is just a money-making machine for the author, with no commitment to the reader. Skip it or feel cheated.

Hunted Book 1 of Forever Faire A Serial Fae Fantasy Romance edition by Hazel Hunter Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

Action, suspense, confusion, terror and so much more. This series opened with a bang showcasing Kayla and Ryan. He thinks he has glamoured her after trying to make her forget they've met. Doesn't work as he thinks and Kayla remembers it all. He isn't human, but how did she see through it all. Tara, her sister, is scared they will be found by the enemy bikers, and neither understand why they've been targeted. This book ends with a cliff hanger, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in line. I fully recommend this author and her writing style.
I downloaded Hunted as a free ebook from . I liked the storyline, but this novellas was only the first part of a serial installment rather than a full story. There were multiple opportunities to add layers and complexity to the characters, and while the plot was interesting, the protagonists were too 1-dimensional to hold my interest through all the installments.
Sounded interesting. Who doesn't like renfaires? However, this is only part one. You have to keep purchasing the books to continue to read the story. I managed to read the first book (it should be labeled "part 1" not " book 1" ). I started the second but then returned it for a refund. The story drags on and on and on. The characters have no depth. It started to grate on my nerves. Sorry, I really wanted to like it.
Let's just start by saying that I've read the entire series now and boy was it good. To be honest with you when the h first meets the H in book 1 and believes they are destined to be together I almost put the book down, never to read again because it happened so fast, BUT I'm so glad I didn't. There IS a reason for the insta love. This is actually a thrilling series. I couldn't stop reading after I started. I was on the edge of my seat and at one point I cried, but can't tell you why. Don't want to spoil it.
Lots of sexy times for those of you who like it. Personally I love it.

I don't however think this series is worth the price but I paid it anyway because once I got started I HAD to know what happened next. At $3 a piece for 5 short reads is a little crazy to me. I don't even pay that for some of the outstanding authors I read. If you decide to take the plunge, be warned that you will HAVE to read the entire series. Each one leaves off with one heck of cliffhanger. Now this is where I'm a real idiot!! I can't wait to start reading whatever else Hazel Hunter has published. Expensive or not I'll read it!
This book reads like some bad B movie. The dialogue is terrible. At 20 percent on my kindle the female lead is already professing her undying love... really? Where the plot? I honestly don't think I can continue this book. It just doesn't seem like its going to get any better.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BOOK!!! The author is decent ( to great but good) and the characters are interesting but that's not the reason to stay away (obviously). The author takes a full novel, breaks it up into chapters you can read in under an hour and sells them for $3 each. So what should really be a three to five dollar SINGLE STORY is $15 - 5 "books" at $3 a pop. She's not that good an author to command $15 per story. Until she learns how to price and sell her work accordingly, stay away. It's really not worth it.
Ugh, I'm so annoyed by this book. It's not a full story, it's half of one at best. I'm not one to get pissy about cliffhangers, especially if done right. But this just ends right when the action starts. JUST STOPS. Which makes all the other little things I was willing to overlook, like the lack of character development, glaringly obvious. There is no depth to the characters, no real background given. Little explanation given to motivations. The main couple Kayla and Ryan barely interact and yet they are having sex with no emotional connection for the reader. The little sister Tara, who is being chased by the Dark Fae along with Kayla, has but a hand full of scenes. And when she does, she comes off as a brat that I really could care less about. Considering she's a major part of the main plot, well that's a problem. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 instead of a 2 star review is because there is no glaring problems with the editing and while underdeveloped the story had potential. If this series ever goes on KU, I may pick up the next book to see what happens, but I refuse to pay for an incomplete book.
